
WHAT ARE THE BUSINESS HOURS?
Casa Feliz is open by appointment only, except for Sundays when we host
our "Music at the Casa" open
house from 12 noon - 3 pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 am - 12
noon. Our weekday business hours are from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Call

ARE PRIVATE TOURS AVAILABLE?
Private tours of 15 or more can be arranged by
calling Betsy Owens, executive director of the Friends of Casa Feliz at
407.628.8200, ext. 1.
WHAT ARE THE RENTAL HOURS?
Our standard contract is for 4 hours of event time. We allow 3 additional
hours of setup time for weddings, and 2 hours for receptions and other events.
Residential zoning requires that all Casa Feliz events end by 11:00
p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and at 10:00 p.m. on other days. Cleanup must
end by midnight.
ARE PHOTO SHOOTS ALLOWED?
Professional photo shoots of the interior spaces of Casa Feliz - at $75 per
hour - may be scheduled during our regular business hours (see above) by
calling Betsy Owens, executive director of the Friends of Casa Feliz, at
407.628.8200, ext. 1. Photos may be taken outdoors for no charge, as long
as there are no scheduled events taking place. Please call ahead to confirm.
We do allow occassional snapshots being taken during our "Music at
the Casa" Sunday Open House as long as they don't interfere with our
scheduled concert and tours. No professional engagement or wedding photos
are allowed at this time.
WHAT DOES THE RENTAL RATE INCLUDE? IS THERE ANY STAFF AVAILABLE AT THE
EVENT?
Evening and weekend events are attended, from setup through cleanup by
one of Casa Feliz's experienced event managers. The event manager is present
to help make things go smoothly between the client, caterer and other vendors,
to handle any difficulties that occur during the event, and to guard the
property against any misuse. Your rental will also include use of our banquet
furniture: ten 48" round tables; two 60" round tables; and 75 mahogany
wood Versailles chairs. For weddings, our coordinator will work with you
to find a rehearsal time the day before that is mutually convenient to you
and the property.
HOW ARE EVENT DATE "HOLDS" HANDELED?
Casa Feliz will hold a date for 7 calendar days without a deposit. If a
deposit is not made within this time frame, the hold is released. To guarantee
a date, we require a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the rental amount,
plus a separate, refundable security deposit of $350.
WHAT ARE THE DEPOSIT TERMS FOR THE FACILITY?
Rental deposits are nonrefundable. If you need to change your date
after making a rental deposit within 8 months of the event date, your deposit
is forfeited, and a new one is required. Otherwise, a $200 administrative
fee is charged to change the date.
CAN WE USE OUR OWN CATERER OR BARTENDERS?
Catering at Casa Feliz is provided by Arthur's Fine Gourmet Catering. Outside
caterers are not permitted. Bartending must be arranged through Arthur's.
A licensed bartender is required to serve any alcoholic beverages.
ARE THERE ANY RULES ABOUT MUSIC?
You may hire either live musicians or a DJ for your Casa Feliz event. If
you hire a band, the group must have no more than 4 musicians, including
the vocalist. Casa Feliz is of a residential scale, and larger music groups
overwhelm the space. Because we border a residential area, no amplified
music is allowed outdoors at Casa Feliz. Acoustic music outdoors is permissible.
Reception music is typically set up in our living room, which has wood
floors suitable for dancing.
IS THERE AN OPTION FOR A TENT OUTSIDE?
It is possible to rent an tent for both the front yard and back courtyard.
This can be arranged through an independent contractor. The cost per tent
is typically around $700.
DO YOU ALLOW CANDLES OR OTHER DECORATIONS?
One of the advantages of having an event at Casa Feliz is that the house
is already beautifully accented with antique furnishings and wall hangings.
However, floral arrangements and other decorations--from, simple to elaborate--may
help personalize your event. Any additional lighting must be installed
by a licensed and insured florist, electrician or production specialist.
Candles are allowed, although they must be enclosed in hurricanes or votives
(no open flames). We highly recommend working with one of the design professionals
on our list, all of whom are very familiar with the property.
WHAT ARRANGEMENTS CAN BE MADE FOR PARKING?
A parking plan must be made by the tenant. Parking is available on a limited
basis in the lot located between the Winter Park Country (Golf) Club and
Casa Feliz. When there are events happening at both locations, parking
will be extremely limited. Casa Feliz's event designer has suggestions
for arranging parking off-property.
ARE ANIMALS ALLOWED ON SITE DURING EVENTS?
No pets/animals are allowed inside the house at any time.
HOW DO WE ARRANGE FOR ADVANCE DELIVERIES?
Casa Feliz is not an open facility. Arrangements must be made for advance
deliveries. It is our strong preference that items (furniture, A/V equipment)
be hand-carried into Casa Feliz. Items may be delivered on a dolly only
through the front door (facing Park Avenue) of Casa Feliz. If using an
entrance other than the front door, items must be hand-carried in.
ARE SMOKING AND SPARKLERS ALLOWED?
Due to the recently installed artificial grass, no smoking is allowed
on Casa Feliz property including the interior courtyard, balconies, garden
room front of property and exterior courtyard. The tenant is responsible
for adherence to this rule. Smoking is allowed only in the designated
area near the fountain in the roundabout and ash trays must be provided
by the tenant or caterer. Sparklers are not allowed on the property at
any time.
WHAT KIND OF DECORATIONS ARE ALLOWED?
Decorations must be cleared with Casa Feliz staff. Absolutely no nails,
tacks, tape or other adhesives may be used to affix decorations to Casa
Feliz property. Wall hangings and other fixtures may not be moved without
prior permission of Casa Feliz. If decorations are to be hung (such as
strings of lights, garlands, etc.), they must be installed by a licensed
and insured professional. Failure to abide by these policies will result
in the loss of the security deposit. Anything tossed at the bride and groom
at their departure must be approved by Casa Feliz. We do not allow, for
example, rose petals, confetti of any kind, or silly string.
