Photography Policy
Casa Feliz Historic Home Museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on private contributions to preserve and maintain the property. While we strive to accommodate individuals and groups wishing to photograph at Casa Feliz, photography fees are required for photo shoots to support our mission of preservation and community engagement.
SCHEDULING & APPROVAL
All photographers (anyone capturing or recording images by mechanical or digital means, that being film, photo, or video) planning to conduct a photo shoot for commercial, professional, or personal use must schedule their session at least two weeks in advance by contacting the Museum Assistant, Luiza Nobre, at luiza@casafeliz.us.
Hours typically available for photo shoots:
Monday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm (7:00 pm after daylight savings)
Tuesday: 7:00 am - 10:00 am and 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm (7:00 pm after daylight savings)
Wednesday thru Sunday: 7:00 am - 10:00 am
(Kindly do not request a photo shoot outside these hours)
Photography sessions may not begin until all associated fees have been paid in full.
PHOTOGRAPHY CATEGORIES & FEES
Professional, Artistic or Private Photography
Refers to sessions intended for personal, non-commercial only. This includes portraits, engagement photos, family sessions, graduation pictures, etc.
Use of the exterior grounds: $100/hour
Exclusive (private) use of the interior and exterior grounds: $300/hour (two-hour minimum)
Commercial Photography
Includes sessions intended for advertising, marketing, or sale, such as product shoots, promotional campaigns, or film productions. Fees for commercial shoots are accepted on rare occasion. The Casa Feliz Historic Home Museum retains all rights for commercial reproduction of Museum property.
Exclusive use of the exterior grounds: $300/hour (two-hour minimum)
Exclusive use of the interior and exterior grounds: $500/hour (two-hour minimum)
Note: For interior photo shoots, commercial photographers will be required to supply a comprehensive waiver of liability.
Casual Recreational Photography
Casual, unstaged, recreational snapshots may be taken by visitors to the property in designated areas without an appointment and is free of charge. Portraits/staged photo shoots of any kind are not considered recreational photography. A courtesy call is required if groups or classes plan to visit.
ON-SITE GUIDELINES & RESTRICTIONS
Failure to follow any of the above will result in additional fees and termination of the session without refund.
To protect the historic integrity of Casa Feliz and ensure the safety of all guests:
Plants, decorations, and containers may not be moved or rearranged.
Walking or climbing on fence walls, trees, or water features is strictly prohibited.
Hanging props, confetti, glitter, or similar materials are not permitted.
Access to the interior is prohibited unless reserved, including restrooms, storage areas, balconies, and stairwells.
Friends of Casa Feliz is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal or professional equipment.
CONTACT & VERIFICATION
All photographers must schedule their session at least two weeks in advance by contacting the Museum Assistant, Luiza Nobre, at luiza@casafeliz.us.
During their session, photographers may be asked by Casa Feliz staff to provide proof of payment. Failure to present verification upon request may result in the immediate suspension of the session until payment is confirmed.
